Preschool (Good Samaritan)

“Love one another.” That’s what the Bible tells us to do. That’s what Jesus tells us to do. It sounds easy, and it is…when it comes to those whom you already love. But, Jesus wasn’t just talking about your spouse and your kids. He was talking about everyone. That’s right. Jesus loves everyone, and He wants us to show His love to them too. Loving one another means stopping to help even when others are ignoring the need. It means loving whether you have a little or a lot to give. It means loving a person even if he has wronged you in the past. Sometimes loving one another is easy, and sometimes it’s hard. However, it’s always worth it. Because when we love one another we are showing each other the love of Jesus. And that is what He’s asked us to do! We begin the month with the preschoolers learning about when Jesus told a story about a Samaritan man who stopped to care for a stranger that was beaten and robbed.

Basic Truth: Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

Key Question: How can you love like Jesus?

Bottom Line: I can love everyone.

Memory Verse: “Love one another.” John 13:34, NIV

Bible Story Focus: I can love by helping. Good Samaritan • Luke 10:25-37
