re·new \ri-ˈnü, -ˈnyü\
to make effective for an additional period; to revive; to restore to a former state
Heritage opened our facility 17 years ago and we’ve been blessed to have our facility as a ministry tool. While we’ve given away literally millions of dollars to help other ministries, we’ve spent very little upgrading our own facility. Now, however, some things are wearing out and are in need of repair. So we’re embarking on what we’re calling the Renew Project to raise funds and bring our building up to date.
Here are a few things that need attention:
-Exterior window replacement
-Exterior paint (with new colors)
-Update all Children’s Ministry classrooms – paint, carpet, A/V, and cabinets as needed
-Finish renovations to the cry room, conference room and lobby.
-Stage lighting and minor sound upgrade in sanctuary
-Projects: chairs, worship team equipment, fence repairs, kitchen flooring, etc.
We’ve estimated the total cost of the Renew Project to be $200,000. While we have a budget for ongoing maintenance, these repairs and upgrades exceed that budget.
Just like your home is in many ways a reflection of who you are, we want our church home to be a reflection of our values and our desire to be the best we can be. We want it to look nice and be proud to invite guests into our “home”. In the Book of Haggai God teaches us the principle that when we take care of God’s house, He promises to take care of our house.
If you are part of the church family, I’d like to ask you to prayerfully consider how you can support the Renew Project, over and above your regular tithes and offerings. I’d like to see everyone pull together and adopt this project, give generously according to your blessings, and we’ll enjoy many more years in this great building.
