Staff

Peter grew up in a Christian home in Southern California, but it wasn’t until he had a dramatic encounter with Jesus during a visit to Uruguay in 1991 that he truly had a “born again experience” and started following Him wholeheartedly. Peter joined Heritage in 2008, became an Elder in 2012, and later came on staff as the Associate Pastor. In December 2019, Peter was made the Interim Lead Elder, and officially took up the mantle as Lead Elder in the summer of 2020. Peter married his best friend, Elvira in 1996 and they have three terrific kids: Lukas, Krystal & Bethany. Besides serving God and being with his family & friends, Peter enjoys traveling, cycling and playing hockey.

Mike, Tammy, and their three boys joined Heritage in the fall of 1996. Fresh out of Bible college, Mike was drawn to the vision for community, simplicity, and multiplication. In 2003, Mike joined the staff full-time as an Associate Pastor and years later was sent out as a church planter. Mike and Tammy (and their oldest son, Josh) returned to Heritage in 2020 to join the team and help out. Mike has a passion for sharing the good news and taking people deeper into “all” that God has for them. 

Lon started out in ministry by leading youth ministry, before planting a church in 1997. He then went into business as a real estate agent, while also serving on eldership at Heritage for ten years. In 2017, he and his wife, Ann-Margaret moved to Cape Town, South Africa to chair the board of non-profit Ikhaya Le Themba and lead a congregation in Joshua Generation Church. In 2020, they returned to San Clemente to help serve at Heritage. Lon recently joined the staff to oversee Assimilation, Community Groups, and pastoral leadership.

Caitlin is from the Isle of Man, a small island in the British sea. She connected with Heritage through our partnership with Four12 and in 2022, she felt the Lord lead her to move to California to serve at Heritage. A full-time deacon, she has ample ministry experience, especially in the areas of worship and youth. She is overseeing our worship team and Kids Ministry.

Nick grew up in Heritage and radically encountered the Lord in a powerful way in his early twenties. He spent three years in a discipleship school in South Africa, Timothy Ministry Training, and also served full-time in a congregation in the university town of Stellenbosch. Towards the end of 2022, he felt the Lord calling him back to California and to Heritage, where he is now serving with communities, worship, discipleship, and the youth.

Linda Weller is our bookkeeper and helps oversee our finances and HR. Linda and her husband, Tim, moved to Nevada in 2018, so she now works remotely from there as they build their dream home.

Ryann has been a part of the Heritage family for nearly fifteen years, and on staff for the past five years. She is currently living in South Africa and apart of one of our Four12 partner churches. She manages our communications, media, and marketing remotely.

Rob and Michelle joined Heritage last year and immediately jumped in and caught the heart of family. Rob serves on our worship team and helps lead a community group. He serves on staff overseeing and managing our facility and equipment.
