Keep God In Your Summer

Dear Church Family,

I personally love summers and all that comes with them – beach, sharks, bonfires, camping and time to rest. But every summer I observe some Christians doing something that bugs me – taking a break from God. It’s not intentional, mind you. But rather a result of backing off routines of daily time alone in God’s word, worship and prayer.

My challenge is to use summer to go deeper with Jesus. During your time away, indulge in extra Bible study, extra prayer time, or finding a way to serve the Lord. Go for it with God! Don’t slack off. Start your fall with a passionate spirit, not one that is limping because you’ve disconnected from your Savior. You’ll have your greatest summer ever.

Blessings,

Roger
